CT hotel sells for $8M

A Danbury hotel has been sold for $8 million, according to brokerage firm Marcus & Millichap, which handled the deal. 

The Holiday Inn Danbury-Bethel hotel at 80 Newtown Road was recently purchased by Danbury Real Estate LLC, which is controlled by Suhas M. Patel, of Illinois, and Shashank Shekhar, of New Jersey, state records show. 

The hotel has 112 rooms, which means it traded hands for  $71,429 per room. It was built in 1973 and renovated in 2013, according to CoStar.

The seller was Danbury Hospitality LLC, which originally purchased the property in 2014 for $5.5 million, records show. 
Danbury Hospitality  is controlled by Chetan Patel and Jacob H Kriney, both of New York, state records  show.
