More than 80 companies and organizations will participate in the 7th Heroes4Hire job and career fair Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rentschler Field Ballroom in East Hartford.
State Labor Commissioner Glenn Marshall, Veterans’ Affairs Commissioner Linda Schwartz, U.S. Congressman John Larson, U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, and U.S. Chamber of Commerce Vice President Kevin Schmiegel will be on hand to open the free, veterans-only event.
In addition to on site job interviews, the fair will offer résumé critiques and tips from the labor agency experts.
State and federal veterans’ officials will also answer questions about military services and benefits.
Parking is free at the ballfield.
The free event is sponsored by the departments of labor and veterans’Â affairs, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and local chambers, the Connecticut Business & Industry Association, Travelers Cos. and CBS Radio.Â
