The Connecticut Health Foundation has awarded a Boston-based nonprofit group a $200,000 grant to launch a new program in Connecticut that aims to eliminate racial and ethnic health disparities.
The funding will go to Third Sector New England, which will launch The Campaign for a Stronger Connecticut: Building Bridges to Better Health program. It is is being targeted at leaders in business, education, health and communities to help them better understand and address the link between the strength of their organizations and the health of their people.
The grant to Third Sector New England will support the launch of an online toolkit and collateral materials, and will provide technical assistance to sector-based grantees and stakeholders.
