The state Department of Agriculture today unveiled a new logo and branding for the CT Grown program.
The green and blue label —intended to replace a logo in use by the department since 1986— represents the importance of both aquaculture and agriculture, department officials said.
Also introduced is a new tagline: “A way of life.”
The CT Grown logo and associated branding are used by producers and retailers to identify and market products grown and raised in Connecticut.
Department officials said they surveyed 1,700 consumers, providers, and wholesale partners and asked what elements they wanted to see represented in the new imagery.
