A Connecticut-based institute has given the state and 39 others a failing grade for the information they provide on physician quality measures.
Authored by four researchers at Newtown’s Health Care Incentives Improvement Institute Inc., the report card graded each state based upon the number of physicians and other health care providers for whom quality information is publicly reported.
Such information was provided for just 6 percent of Connecticut providers.
The scoring also incorporates the scope of measures reported and the ease of accessing it.
Minnesota and Washington were the only states to receive an ‘A’ grade.
