CT gas prices soar to highest level since November

Connecticut gas prices are on the rise again, having reached their highest level since November, according to AAA.

The average price per gallon in Connecticut was $3.83 on Friday, up 3 cents from a week ago, and up 22 cents from a month ago, according to the organization.

Prices are lower than they were last year at this time, however. The average price in Connecticut on Aug. 18, 2022 was $4.07.

The highest price on record in Connecticut was $4.98 per gallon on June 14, 2022.

Current gas prices in Connecticut are slightly below the national average of $3.87. That’s a reversal from a year ago at this time, when Connecticut’s prices were 14 cents above the national average.

Currently, the highest price per gallon in Connecticut is in the Bridgeport area, with an average of $3.88.

The current average price per gallon in the Hartford area is $3.82, 1 cent higher than in New Haven.
