The AAA says a slow decline in gas prices has come to an end in Connecticut as the average price has increased 7 cents a gallon over the past month, according to the Associated Press.
The automobile club says regular gas is now selling for $2.90 a gallon on average in the state, up from $2.83 a gallon in February. That’s the second-highest price in the region, behind New York’s $2.91 a gallon, AP reports.
The AAA says the national average price is $2.76 a gallon, up 12 cents since last month.
Diesel prices in Connecticut also increased since last month’s AAA report, from $3.11 to $3.15.
The AAA surveys more than 1,000 gas stations in Connecticut and nearly 100,000 stations nationwide. (AP)
