Connecticut’s inventory of homes in foreclosure ranked fifth in the country in October for the third month in a row, according to CoreLogic.
During the month, 3.7 percent of mortgaged homes in the state were in foreclosure, flat from September but down from 4.4 percent in October 2012.
Connecticut had the fourth highest inventory in June, after Maine, but tied with that state in July. In August, Connecticut moved down to fifth place.
Besides Maine, states with higher inventories in October included New York, New Jersey and Florida.
