CT flower show blooms in Hfd. Feb. 21

Hartford will host the four-day 32nd annual Connecticut Flower & Garden Show in late February at the Connecticut Convention Center downtown.

One of the largest and most prestigious flower shows in New England will run Thursday, Feb. 21 through Sunday, Feb. 24 at the convention center, 100 Columbus Blvd.

Show producer North East Expos said more than 40,000 visitors attended the 2012 show in Hartford.

On display or for sale will be fresh flowers, plants, garden ornaments, herbs, bulbs, seeds, fertilizers, soils, gardening books, patio furniture, ornaments and lawn equipment.

Show hours: Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Show sponsors include B&P Turf Farm, Goodyear Farms, T.J. Bark Mulch, Connecticut Horticulture Society, Bob Kelly Florist Inc., WRCH Light 100.5, WFSB-TV Channel 3, Bedard Enterprises, and North East Expos.
