CT flooring manufacturer, with sales near $800M, appoints new CEO

A Norwalk-based flooring manufacturer has named a new CEO.

HMTX Industries announced Thursday that it has appointed Imran Ahmad to the top leadership post.

Ahmad previously served as group president of decorative architectural products for Michigan-based home improvement and building products provider Masco Corp., where he led a business portfolio earning more than $3.5 billion in annual revenue.

HMTX has also named CFO John Henkel to the role of president. He will assume both roles under Ahman and previously served as CFO and interim CEO, according to the company’s website.

HMTX, which was founded in 1912 and is privately held, manufactures flooring products, including luxury vinyl tile and plank, and reports annual sales of nearly $800 million. Its flooring brands include Metroflor, Allure and Aspecta.
