The Defense Department has awarded two Connecticut aerospace manufacturers contracts totaling more than $15 million for aircraft-engine components that will be made in their Hartford area plants.
Delta Industries LLC, an East Granby machining and fabricator, received a maximum $8,287,019, three-year contract to deliver exhaust-casing and nozzle-assembly supplies to the U.S. Air Force. The contract expires in September 2013.
Also, Goodrich Pump & Engine Control Systems Inc. in West Hartford won a $6,853,008, three-year contract to supply 348 electronic digital engine control units for the Navy’s H-60 Seahawk helicopter. Work will be completed in August 2013.
