CT financing Shelton manufacturer expansion

The state is providing $800,000 in loans to help a Shelton-based manufacturer expand its employment base in Connecticut.

Gov. Dannel Malloy said Thursday the state is providing the financing to Inline Plastics Corp., which will use the money to purchase and install new machinery and equipment and add 18 jobs.

The Department of Economic and Community Development will assist the project with a 10-year, $500,000 loan, while the Connecticut Development Authority will chip in with $300,000 in financing.

Tom Orkisz, president of Inline Plastics Corp., said, the assistance “made the difference between establishing our new thermoforming line in Connecticut versus our Georgia plant.”
