Lebanon’s 32-acre Skaats Farm will remain undeveloped, the result of land-preservation efforts and funding from the state and other organizations.
The farm at 420 Clubhouse Road is a mix of woodland and fields leased to a local dairy farmer.
The Connecticut Farmland Trust in conjunction with the Natural Resource Conservation Service, Farm and Ranchland Protection Program led the preservation effort, authorities say.
There are more than 10,000 acres of farmland in Lebanon, of which more than 3,500 acres are permanently protected, officials said.
On Thursday, state and local authorities in Simsbury announced the 260-acre Tulmeadow Farm in West Simsbury will be permanently preserved through an easement.
