CT farm bureau names Talmage new director

The Connecticut Farm Bureau has tapped Henry Talmage as its new executive director.

Talmage, who was previously the executive director of the Connecticut Farmland Trust Executive, replaces Steven Reviczky, who was recently appointed Connecticut’s new Commissioner of Agriculture.

Prior to coming to Connecticut, Talmage served as president of the Long Island Farm Bureau and managed the day-to-day operations of his family’s wholesale greenhouse and nursery. He has also been active at the state legislature, where he has spoken out on land-use and agricultural policy.

“I am excited for this new opportunity and look forward to working with the staff of the Connecticut Farm Bureau to help support farmers and influence legislation to support the development of agriculture in Connecticut,” Talmage said.
