A Shelton-based provider of scheduling software for off-duty law enforcement and public safety agencies has appointed a new CEO.

Extra Duty Solutions has named Michael Nark, a technology executive, to the leadership role. Rich Milliman, current CEO who founded the company in 2015, will become board chairman.

Nark, who has 30 years of experience leading technology-enabled services and software-as-a-service companies, most recently served as president and CEO of Utility Inc., a digital evidence management and mobile resource management company that supports law enforcement agencies and first responders.

Extra Duty Solutions serves more than 350 law enforcement agencies across more than 30 states.
