CT establishes developmental disabilities council

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy on Thursday signed an executive order formally establishing the Connecticut Council on Developmental Disabilities to promote quality of life for the afflicted.

Malloy must within 60 days appoint the 24-member council, which will consist of 15 individuals who have developmental disabilities or their parents.

The remainder will be representatives from state agencies involved with providing services to people with developmental disabilities and their advocates.
