Garden Homes Management Corp. has filed plans for a 76-unit residential development at 460 Bic Drive in Milford.
A Stamford-based real estate investment and development firm is proposing a 76-unit affordable housing development on a Milford site where a previous project drew local opposition.
Garden Homes Management Corp. has filed an application for 460 Bic Drive that is scheduled for review by the city’s Inland Wetlands Agency on Wednesday.
The development would include 37 two-bedroom and 39 three-bedroom units on a 7.38-acre site, along with 140 parking spaces, according to project plans submitted to the city. Plans show the units would be built across four single-unit buildings and 36 two-unit buildings.
The project is being pursued under Connecticut’s 8-30g affordable housing statute.
The property has been the subject of development proposals before. In 2015, a larger 257-unit apartment plan for the site drew opposition from residents who raised concerns about traffic, safety and congestion during public hearings.
Garden Homes Management is a regional real estate investment and development firm with apartment and manufactured housing communities across several Northeast states.
