State Department of Developmental Services Commissioner Terrence W. Macy is the latest Malloy administration lieutenant to declare his departure, effective Jan. 7.
Gov. Dannel Malloy appointed Macy to the DSS post in April 2011. Before that, Macy was executive director of SARAH Tuxis Residential & Community Resources Inc., where he led efforts to provide support to individuals with disabilities along the central Connecticut shoreline.
Malloy’s office said he will announce a new DSS commissioner in coming week.
Malloy will be sworn into his second term on Jan. 7.
