The state Department of Housing is accepting applications until June 10 for a $22 million round of grants and loans to help developers construct affordable housing for military veterans and the disabled, officials announced.
The competitive funding falls under the state’s Competitive Housing Assistance for Multifamily Properties program, or CHAMP. It’s the seventh round of CHAMP funding since 2011.
DOH funding for a single project won’t exceed $5 million.
Proposed developments must include at least one handicap-accessible unit and at least two units with a preference for veterans at or below 25 percent of the area median income.
