Consumers in the Hartford and New Haven metro areas have some of the better credit scores in the country, according to an analysis by NerdWallet.
Those areas ranked 20th out of 143 metro areas analyzed by the consumer finance website.
Connecticut’s average VantageScore 3.0 — which is Equifax’s, Transunion’s and Experian’s answer to the FICO score — was 683.
The highest scores were in Minneapolis-St. Paul, which averaged 702.
