A global logistics provider, Odyssey Logistics, which was based in Danbury for more than two decades, has relocated its headquarters to Charlotte, North Carolina.
The company’s headquarters was located at 100 Reserve Road in Danbury, in a mixed-use development known as The Summit.
The company said that 80 employees — including professionals in information technology, sales and commercial support, finance and human resources — moved into its new headquarters in Charlotte, on the fifth floor of Whitehall Corporate Center.
Odyssey already had a presence in Charlotte, with its managed services division’s main office located there.
The company said the move “comes as part of Odyssey’s accelerated growth trajectory, positioning the company at the heart of a major supply chain gateway in a region with a robust and skilled talent pool.”
“Our new home in Charlotte is a mutually beneficial development both for our organization and for the North Carolina business community, a region that is ideal for Odyssey as we embark on our next chapter of growth,” CEO Hans Stig Moller said. “… Our new location also provides updated facilities and convenient proximity to a key international airport and our clients.”
Odyssey is the second Danbury-area company to move south in recent weeks. In February, battery-maker Duracell announced that it will relocate its North American research and development headquarters from Bethel to Atlanta by summer 2026.
Odyssey specializes in multimodal transportation and supply chain services, including warehousing and distribution, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, managed services and specialized services.
Odyssey, which said it employs 2,000 people worldwide, established its headquarters in Danbury when it was founded in 2003. The company also has a fulfillment center in New Milford.
It’s not clear what type of presence Odyssey will have in Connecticut moving forward. A spokesperson for the company did not return a message seeking comment.
