CT Children’s Medical Center expands in Fairfield County as Westport property sells for $19.1M

A property that houses the Connecticut Children’s Specialty Care Center at 191 Post Road West in Westport recently sold for $19.1 million to a Chicago-based company.

According to land records, 191 Post Property Owner LLC sold the property, which contains a 31,500-square-foot medical office building, to Draco3 Westport 191 LLC on Aug. 25.

Draco3 Westport 191 LLC is an affiliate of Remedy Medical Properties in Chicago.

The previous owner was Targeted Real Estate Equities, under the name 191 Post Property Owner LLC, a real estate firm based in Westport.

Meanwhile, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center has expanded its pediatric specialty care center in the building. The Hartford-based medical center now occupies the entire building through a long-term lease, according to an announcement from the seller.

“We are very pleased to have been able to convert the building to a medical use and offer this great amenity to the community, while executing a great result for our investors,” said Daniel Steinberg, managing director of Targeted Real Estate Equities.

Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, which is building a new tower at its main Hartford location, has recently expanded its footprint in Fairfield County. It has locations in Stamford, Danbury, Norwalk and Shelton.

Targeted Real Estate Equities purchased the property on Oct. 1, 2021, for $8.2 million, according to town records.

Stream Capital Partners procured the buyer on behalf of the owners.
