CT casinos report double-digit slot dips

Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun reported Tuesday that their June slot machine revenue fell 13.1 percent and 10.3 percent, respectively.

Foxwoods reported slots revenue of $37.7 million, down from $43.4 million a year ago. The amount of money wagered in its machines fell 5.3 percent, to $479.1 million.

Mohegan’s slots revenue was $45.3 million, down from $50.5 million in June 2013. Bettors ran $574.9 million through its slot machines during the month, down more than 10 percent from $640.4 million a year ago.

For the month, the state’s special revenue fund will receive a total of $21.4 million from the two casinos, down from $24.1 million a year ago.
