Seven Connecticut dairy farms that are members of the Cabot Creamery Cooperative will open their doors to the public this Sunday as part of a broader event involving dozens of member farms in New England and New York, Cabot said.
Farms participating in the event, scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 9, will offer hayrides and other free activities. Cabot launched its Open Farm program in 2009.
Connecticut farms participating this year include:
- Blue Slope Farm, Franklin
- Fort Hill Farms, Thompson
- Freund’s Farm, Canaan
- Greenbacker’s Brookfield Farm, Durham
- Hastings Farm, Suffield
- Laurelbrook Farm, Canaan
- Thorncrest Farm & Milk House Chocolates, Goshen
