Connecticut business owners required to electronically file their taxes by Jan. 31 instead will have until late tonight because of a power failure, the state’s Department of Revenue Services announced.
Solely those businesses that are required to e-file will have until midnight Monday, DRS said.
Taxpayers submitting paper returns still had to do so with postmarks no later than Jan. 31.
The electronic extension is because of a power failure that affected DRS servers and caused some users to receive error messages while trying to file.
