Glastonbury commercial lines broker Smith Brothers Insurance Inc., in its second acquisition in as many months, has bought Southington’s Elliott Insurance Group, one of the state’s oldest independent brokers.
Terms weren’t revealed Thursday.
Elliott Insurance, which for 117 years has sold coverages to small- to mid-size businesses ranging from healthcare, hospitality and professional services to contractors and manufacturing, will keep its brand while operating under Smith Brothers’ umbrella.
In November, Smith Brothers acquired Wethersfield architect-engineering liability insurance broker Camilleri & Clarke.
Smith’s other offices are in Glastonbury and Boston.
