Prudential Connecticut Realty says it will offer a package of rebates and discounts to try to sustain the region’s home-sales momentum once federal tax credits for homebuyers expires.
The Rocky Hill property broker says its Homebuyer Rewards Program begins May 1, the day after federal homebuyer tax credits expire.
Prudential Connecticut President Candace Adams said all of its brokerage, lending and services divisions are contributing incentives. Among them is a $250 refund from Connecticut Home Mortgage, a $100 refund from Connecticut Insurance Group, and more than $250 in coupons and rebates from its moving- services vendor partners.
In addition, participating home sellers are offering buyers a 3 percent seller concession as a credit toward closing costs and prepaid items not to exceed $8,000.
Prudential Connecticut claims it is the state’s largest real estate broker and the 20th largest in the United States.
