The number of single-family homes sold in Connecticut rose 2 percent in January, according to The Warren Group.
There were 1,435 homes sold during the month, up from 1,402 during the same month a year ago.
It was the ninth consecutive increase in home sales in the state, which saw a 2013 increase of 6 percent, Warren said.
The median price for Connecticut was flat at $230,000. Median prices have been flat on a year-over-year basis for three consecutive months, which Warren said may be due to rising interest rates. The state’s median price rose 8.3 percent in 2013.
