A Connecticut-based hot yoga studio plans to expand into West Hartford, marking its first franchise location.
Sweatfluence, founded in Old Saybrook 2017 by Courtney Del Vecchio, plans to open a studio in Blue Back Square at 87 Memorial Road sometime this summer, the company said. An official opening date has not yet been announced.
Sweatfluence began as a single studio in Old Saybrook and later added a location in New Haven. The West Hartford site will be the company’s first franchise, it said.
The new studio will be operated by franchisee Rachel Gerould, who said West Hartford’s focus on health and community made it a natural fit.
Sweatfluence offers heated Vinyasa-style yoga classes using infrared heating technology, paired with music-driven routines designed to combine cardiovascular intensity with strength and flexibility.
Del Vecchio said the West Hartford location is part of the company’s broader franchising push in Connecticut and other markets.
