CT attorney is chair of nonprofit pandemic fighter

A Baltimore nonprofit that works to prevent pandemic viral threats through research, training and advocacy has appointed Waterbury attorney Timothy C. Moynahan as chairman of its board of directors, it announced.

Moynahan, founder of The Moynahan Law Firm LLC, brings his knowledge of international business and public-private sector partnerships to the Global Virus Network, officials from then nonprofit said in an announcement.

Part of his role will be to develop partnerships with multinational corporations and private benefactors to provide the funding needed to address viral threats to public health.

It will be Moynahan’s second stint as chairman. He served in the role in 2011, when GVN was formed.
