Michael P. Speciale is retiring Dec. 1 after 29 years as executive director of the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks, which has begun a search for his successor.
The air museum announced Wednesday that it hired executive search firm Third Sector New England to help identify Speciale’s replacement.
Founded in 1959 and situated since 1981 at its present site next door to Bradley International Airport, the air museum bills itself as the Northeast’s largest.
