Connecticut Attorney General George Jepsen has been named co-chair of the antitrust committee for the National Association of Attorneys General.
“Antitrust law is a powerful tool that can be used to protect both businesses and consumers. Everyone benefits when competition is working fairly in the marketplace,” Jepsen said.
Jepsen was appointed to the post by North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper, the current president of the Washington-based association.
The association includes the attorneys general of the 50 states and the District of Columbia as well as the chief legal officers of the Commonwealths of Puerto Rico and the Northern Mariana Islands and the territories of American Samoa, Guam, and the Virgin Islands.
