State officials said they will join 26 Connecticut aerospace manufacturers and related companies at the 2014 International Airshow in Farnborough, U.K. next week.
The Department of Economic and Community Development will have its own booth for the ninth year in a row, in partnership with the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology.
The booth will host representatives from 10 companies, including Flanagan Industries, EDAC Aero Components, and Whitcraft LLC. Those companies are eligible for state export grants of up to $4,000 to help cover show costs.
Another 16 Connecticut companies — including United Technologies, Kaman Aerospace and Yarde Metals — will have their own booths.
The July 14-20 show, which says it attracts nearly 140,000 visitors, alternates each year between Paris and Farnborough.
Companies typically issue a number of customers and product announcements each year at the show.
Correction: The original version of this story misspelled Farnborough. It also incorrectly state what expenses the state export grants cover. They cover tradeshow costs, not travel.
