Connecticut’s technology sector grew to 73,148 workers in 2015, ranking it 26th among states, according to a tech-industry analysis.
Connecticut added 877 tech jobs from 2014 to 2015, and is project to add an unspecified number in 2016, according to report summary Thursday from Illinois nonprofit Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).
Moreover, CompTIA’s report said Connecticut tech workers averaged annual pay of $102,400 – which is 58 percent greater than the pay-average for all private-sector jobs statewide.
The tech sector accounts for 6.7 percent of the value of all goods and services that Connecticut’s economy generates, the report said.
