A limited liability company tied to Hamden carpentry company Whitehawk Construction Services recently paid $1.25 million for a 12,174-square-foot industrial building in Cromwell.
The 35-year-old building on 2.44 industrially zoned acres at 800 Corporate Row has 18-foot wall heights, two loading docks and three drive-in doors. It had previously hosted a Renewal by Andersen location.
In a deed recorded on Aug. 30, 800 Corp Row LLC sold the property to Whitehawk Land LLC, whose principal is John M. Adams.
The buyer shares a Hamden business address with Whitehawk Construction Services. Attempts to reach a Whitehawk representative were not successful.
David T. Barnes, senior vice president with CBRE, brokered both sides of the deal. Barnes said the property drew a robust response and sold quickly. Barnes said demand for small industrial spaces remains high.
“It’s a great little user building in a great location in the center of the state,” Barnes said. “Any smaller building that is well located and in good condition is going to move.”
