Wallingford energy solutions provider Competitive Resources Inc. won a contract to offer free efficiency services to low-income households to Connecticut Light & Power customers.
Under the Home Energy Solution – Income Eligible program, utility customers with a combined gross annual income at or below 60 percent of the state median income can get energy efficiency services without paying the $75-$99 co-pay.
CRI already offers this service for UI customers.
The Home Energy Solutions services include sealing leaks in doors and windows and switching to more energy efficient light bulbs.
