CREDIT UNION HONORED FOR LITERACY, FINANCIAL AWARENESS PROGRAMS

360 Federal Credit Union in Windsor Locks has won the 2008 Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Recognition Award in its Connecticut peer group ($100 million-$200 million category) by the Credit Union League of Connecticut for its 2007-2008 literacy and financial literacy programs for youth and adults. The credit union is involved in 11 programs in literacy and financial literacy. The Caouettes attended Bauer’s six-week financial literacy classes at the Alcorn School Family Resource Center in Enfield. Ethan Caouette (front left) participated in the Alcorn School’s Book Buddy program, while brother Kevin, a third grade student, participated in last year’s Junior Achievement program with Aresti at the school.
