The state’s credit union group has opted for a new name — which is the same as its old name. Since 1999, the group has called itself the Connecticut Credit Union Association. But in an effort to paint itself before the state legislature as a collaborative unit and “far more unique than the self-interest of its members,” the group is reverting to the moniker The Credit Union League of Connecticut. That was the group’s name beginning in 1925, when the state’s credit unions first opted to form an association. “The League” also sports a new blue and green logo.
