A Middletown-based credit card processor is promising this April Fool’s Day to give customers a free kitten if their processing fees can be beaten.
Merchant service provider Card Fellow went so far as to create a false business called “Fuzzy Credit Card Processing,” where it proclaimed, it has been helping businesses think they’re getting competitive pricing since its inception. Offering fewer hidden fees than some companies, Fuzzy said it strives for transparency and honesty whenever clients are paying attention.
CardFellow said in a statement it created Fuzzy Credit Card Processing as an educational tool to showcase some of the ludicrous sales garbage used by processing reps and bring the facts to light. Apparently no kittens were harmed or given away in the promotion.
