Citing a growing interest in craft beer in Connecticut, organizers have announced “Small State, Great Beer,” a craft beer festival for Constitution Plaza.
The event will be held Saturday, Sept. 17. Organizers said it is the largest festival of its kind held on the plaza since Taste of Hartford ceased operations in 2004.
Event organizer Rory Gale, a co-founder of Hartford Prints! in Hartford said, “We got together and thought, ‘People love beer…Connecticut makes some of the best beer around. Let’s create a beer festival that feels hip and cool, with a music festival vibe, and use it as a bridge to express what makes our cities great.’”
Organizers have announced more than 27 craft breweries will be taking part in the festival. The event will run from 6 to 9 p.m., with VIP tastings available starting at 5 p.m. More ticket info is available on program’s website.
Hartford Prints! will donate a portion of the proceeds from Small State, Great Beer to the iQuilt Partnership nonprofit.
