The Connecticut Power & Energy Society will host a panel discussion on Wednesday of the merits of the state’s wind power industry.
Two officials from West Hartford’s BNE Energy, Inc. will discuss their proposal for wind turbines in Colebrook and Prospect.
The proposal – Connecticut’s first commercial wind proposal – has generated strong controversy among residents, with area legislators proposing a moratorium on commercial wind projects until certain regulations are in place.
The discussion is at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Cromwell Marriott. The cost is $50 for CPES members and $70 for non-members.
