British accounting firm UHY LLP has replanted its Connecticut and New England flags with a fresh New Haven office at 59 Elm St.
In April 2010, tax and business consultants UHY Advisors Inc. sold its 150-member New England practice — including offices in Hartford and New Haven — to accounting firm Marcum LLP. UHY said at the time the merger was a chance to focus on more mature markets.
Michael Mahoney, a partner with UHY LLP and managing director of UHY Advisors NY, cited the company’s confidence in New England’s economy and Connecticut’s middle market as reasons for the return.
The firm operates 12 locations nationwide and several international locations, including a new office in Beijing, China.
UHY LLP, along with consulting firm UHY Advisors Inc., is a U.S. member of Britain’s Urbach Hacker Young International Ltd.
