West Hartford Coworking has announced that it is relocating its premises to Prospect Avenue in West Hartford — returning to the town where it was founded.
It will mark the third location for WHCowork, which was founded in 2016 at 967 Farmington Ave., in West Hartford, and moved to its present premises at 430 New Park Ave., in Hartford, in September of 2019.
In October, it will take a new lease on the ground floor of 557 Prospect Ave. The location includes the private offices, shared desks, meeting and event space that WHCowork has previously offered, but will update its access systems and include a 24/7 booking system.
The company says the location will offer a newly designed flex space that will serve as a fully bookable venue for larger meetings of up to 12. There will also be space for podcast and video recording.
WHCoworking’s Managing Director Annisa Teich said the new location will still support entrepreneurs in Hartford, where the organization has been located for the last six years.
“This move is an investment in the future of the West End’s economic development,” she said. “Just as we supported the revitalization of New Park Avenue from the Hartford side, we’re now ready to help bring new energy to the Prospect–Farmington corridor on the West Hartford side.”
WHCowork operates as a social enterprise of Bromleigh Enterprises — a Hartford–based, family-founded organization focused on supporting economic development through small business growth.
In 2023, WHCowork opened a branch in Windsor center known as Windsor Worx.
