Cheshire-based Counter Weight Brewing has partnered with Commercial Distributing Inc. to bring its beers to Western Massachusetts, the company announced this week.
The craft brewery plans to sell its products starting this week in the Bay State’s Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin and Berkshire counties. The beers will be sold in four-packs in stores and on tap at bars and restaurants, Counter Weight said in social media posts.
“After years of requests for Counter Weight beer in Western Massachusetts, and now finally being settled in our new home, we’re making headway into a new territory starting this week,” the company said on Facebook.
Among the beers to be sold will be Counter Weight’s flagship, Headway IPA, along with its Workhorse Pilsner, Crucial Mass double IPA and Daybloom Belgian wheat.
Counter Weight plans launch events for the Massachusetts expansion starting April 17.
Founded in Hamden in 2017, Counter Weight was brewing 11,500 barrels of beer annually by 2019 and moved to Cheshire in 2022.
The new 29,000-square-foot Cheshire facility, which includes a taproom and beer hall, is located at 9 Diana Court, just south of I-691 and the border with Southington.
