Corporate execs showing more flexibility

More than 60 percent of companies have changed policies to accommodate working parents, according to the results of a recent OfficeTeam survey.

And the flexible scheduling trend may be spreading to singles, as well.

OfficeTeam, an administrative staffing agency, asked 150 senior executives at large companies if their organizations had made changes in workplace policy in the last five years in order to accommodate working parents.

While 62 percent said they had, OfficeTeam also said working parents aren’t the only employees to benefit from the newfound flexibility. Seemingly anyone with “multiple priorities” can take advantage of flex time, telecommuting, family leave time and other perks, the survey concluded.
