Organizers of this Sunday’s UConn mens’ basketball victory parade are asking corporate sponsors to step up to finance the celebration.
The Hartford Business Improvement District and the MetroHartford Alliance, along with the city of Hartford and the state, are collaborating in hosting the 3 p.m. parade and rally to honor the 2011 NCAA national basketball champions.
The parade route will proceed around Bushnell Park, Main Street and Capitol Avenue. The rally with the coaches and players will take place on the north steps of the Capitol building immediately following the parade.
Companies may choose from several sponsorship levels ranging from $25,000 (marching at the head of the parade) to $1,000 or less.
