The Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation in Avon has named Marie Concklin-Malloy of Riverton acting executive director. Concklin-Malloy joined the foundation as director of external affairs in 2006 and became assistant executive director in 2010. Previously, she has worked as director of account services for Smith Mumford & Co. in Albany, N.Y., a college English instructor and a news reporter. She is a graduate of the State University of New York, College at Oswego.
Brenda J. Shepard has joined the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation as communications coordinator. A graduate of George Mason University, she worked for the university as an admissions representative in the New England area. Before joining the foundation, Shepard worked at the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford as a marketing associate.
