The Associated General Contractors of Connecticut honored a variety of professional in the construction and design industry in its sixth annual recognition awards dinner earlier this week.
The AGC is a construction trade association in Wethersfield comprised of general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, specialty contractors and supply firms. The awards were established to recognize those who demonstrate skills, integrity and responsibility in their careers.
The winners announced on Tuesday were:
– Designer of the Year: Louis Free, manager of architectural services at the URS Corp. in Rocky Hill,
– General Contractor/Construction Manager of the Year: Gregory Raucci, president of the Bismark Construction Co. in Milford,
– Subcontractor of the Year: Paul Dinto, president of Paul Dinto Electrical Contractors in Middlebury,
– Supplier/Service Provider of the Year: Al DiVincentis, partner at Halloran & Sage in Hartford,
– Construction Supervisor of the Year: Lawrence Goodine, superintendent of KBE Building Corporation in Farmington,
– Educator of the Year: Jacob Kovel, associated professor of construction management at Central Connecticut State University,
– Public Owner of the Year: John DeStefano, mayor of the City of New Haven,
– Private Owner of the Year: John Cistulli, director of facilities construction & engineering at ESPN in Bristol.
