A contractor has purchased a three-story, mixed-use retail-residential property in Bridgeport for $1.45 million, according to property records.
1804 Barnum Apartments LLC, controlled by Stephon Wynter, of Bridgeport, bought the 14,038-square-foot building at 1804-1812 Barnum Ave. Wynter is the owner of A-Preferred Roofing & Contracting.
Wynter said he is renovating the building, which has two retail spaces and two apartments on the first floor and four apartments each on the second and third floors. The building has three apartment tenants.
“We’re almost complete,” he said.
The seller was Dolarek IV LLC, which is controlled by AI Realty Trust, of Massachusetts. It bought the building for $440,000 in 2014.
The building, which sits on a 0.16-acre parcel and was built in 1917, is appraised at $1.22 million and assessed at $853,390, property records show.
