Serge Lessard, principal of Leading Edge Construction LLC, acquired the 20,000-square-foot property at 132 Weymouth Road.
A construction company has purchased a commercial building in Enfield to serve as its new headquarters, according to a brokerage firm involved in the deal.
Serge Lessard, principal of Leading Edge Construction LLC, acquired the 20,000-square-foot property at 132 Weymouth Road for $250,000 on March 19, according to O,R&L Commercial.
Founded in 2020, Leading Edge is a family-owned general contractor focused on commercial and industrial projects, with operations across Connecticut and Massachusetts, according to its website. The company is led by Serge and Todd Lessard and is currently based at 9 Moody Road in Enfield.
The building will be used as the firm’s primary location, O,R&L said.
The seller was Enfield Omega LLC, which is controlled by Mayer Orgel, who lists a Waterbury business address and Brooklyn, New York, residence, state records show.
Enfield Omega purchased the property in 2003 for $1 million, property records show.
The property had been vacant since 2018 following the departure of former tenant Porter and Chester. It was initially listed for $799,000.
Zoning limitations and market challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and vandalism, contributed to delays in completing a sale, according to O,R&L.
Vicki Clark of CT Commercial Realty & Select Homes represented the buyer, and Thom Wilks of O,R&L Commercial represented the seller.
